Police Investigate Overnight Gas Station Burglary

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department is actively investigating a burglary that occurred at the Delta gas station, located at 7 Route 46 West on February 15, 2017. At approximately 4:30 AM, the police department was notified that an alarm was activated at the gas station. As officers were responding, an employee of the station arrived at work and confirmed a burglary.

It appears that the suspect(s) ripped an electrical box from an exterior wall causing the exterior lights to go out. The suspect(s) then allegedly kicked in a wood panel on a garage-type door and then crawled through to gain entry into the building. They apparently set off an alarm when entering the office. It appears that no proceeds were obtained. The investigation is being headed by Detective Jeffrey Didyk
