Juveniles Charged with Burglary and Theft at Town Pool

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces that four local juveniles, whose identity are being withheld because of their ages, have been charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit burglary for an incident that occurred at the Fairfield Community Pool on or about July 21, 2017. The incident involved five chairs being thrown into the pool, towels being thrown around the property and approximately $28.00 stolen from an office area.

After the incident was reported to the police on July 22nd, detectives immediately obtained leads regarding the identity of the actors when one or more of them allegedly posted themselves jumping into the pool with the chairs on a social media site. As a result the juveniles were all identified and eventually charged. The case will be forwarded to the Family Court in Essex County for disposition. The investigation was conducted by Detective Robert Sanger.
