Fairfield Officers Deploying to Puerto Rico in Support of Operation NJ Pride

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces that it will be participating in Operation NJ Pride by deploying two of its officers to Puerto Rico to assist with relief efforts, keeping the island secure and maintaining law and order. Scheduled to be part of the first deployment, which is to take place on or about October 22, 2017 and last approximately fourteen days, are Sergeant David Proctor and Officer Sean McCormack.

“When our department was first asked to participate in this mission, I sought volunteers. Eight officers immediately responded that they would leave their families and comforts of home in order to assist the people of Puerto Rico in their hour of need. This dedication to service is reflective of the quality found in our officers and I am extremely proud of all of them” said Chief Anthony G. Manna. “We also received 100% support from our Mayor and Council to participate in this humanitarian effort which reflects our community’s unity to always assist those in need” said the chief.
