TRAINING UNIT

How and how often officers train directly affects how they will perform when it comes time to put their skills to the test. The Training Unit takes this philosophy to heart. Throughout the year, they coordinate and often instruct department personnel in both mandated and optional training in a variety of subject manner. In addition, officers assigned to the Training Unit also instruct at several area police academies to both in service and recruit classes.
