The Crash Reconstruction Unit is made up of specially trained officers in the area of reconstructing major traffic crashes where there were significant injuries or damage to private property. These officers use a variety of investigative methods to help determine such things as a vehicle’s speed, where on the roadway impact occurred, and when and if the driver applied their brakes.
