Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Christian Centeno (24) of Fairfield, N.J. and Julia Riedmuller (19) of Roseland, N.J. on August 21, 2019 for various drug related offenses.
On August 21, 2019, at approximately 6:10 AM, Fairfield officers executed a search warrant at Centeno’s residence, located on Horseneck Road. During the course of the investigation, it is alleged that authorities seized from the residence approximately 1.5 pounds of suspected marijuana, approximately $4200.00 in cash, and various items of drug paraphernalia. In addition, it is alleged that the officers also found a small marijuana grow operation in the basement. The operation was inside of a grow tent and had lighting, a ventilation system, and a fan. Four suspected marijuana plants were found. Authorities also alleged that suspected marijuana and related paraphernalia were found in Riedmuller’s pocketbook. Both individuals were transported to headquarters for processing.
Centeno was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute within 1000’ of a school zone, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance pending an initial court appearance in the Superior Court in Newark, N.J. on September 26, 2019. Riedmuller was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also released on her own recognizance pending an appearance in the Fairfield Municipal Court on September 12, 2019.
“The Fairfield Police Department will continue to aggressively seek out and arrest anyone engaged in the illegal distribution of controlled dangerous substances” said Chief Anthony G. Manna. This case was investigated by Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Didyk and Detective Jeffrey Dean.
(It should be noted that the charges against both individuals are merely allegations and that both are presumed innocent until they either plead guilty or are found guilty in a court of law)
