Fairfield Police to Host National Night Out Event and Re-Dedication of Police Headquarters

Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department will be hosting a more streamlined version of its National Night Out event on Tuesday August 3, 2021, from 5 PM until 8 PM. This year, the event will be in the parking lot of the Fairfield Municipal Building located at 230 Fairfield Road and will be combined with the re-dedication ceremony of the recently renovated Fairfield Police Headquarters. The rain date is Wednesday August 4, 2021, at the same time.

As usual, this combined event will feature a DJ, food, drinks, desert, law enforcement and other displays, giveaways, and some select games and events for children including a junior police academy obstacle course. Parking for the event will be in the lots of surrounding schools and businesses.

The ribbon cutting and re-dedication ceremony will take place at 6 PM. Members of the public are also invited to tour the department’s new facility and to interact with almost all of the department’s officers who will be on hand for the event.

“Due to all that our community experienced over the last year and really not knowing what we might face this summer and just how much planning goes into our National Night Out event, the police department decided to have a smaller version of the event this year and to combine it with our re-dedication of our renovated building. We really hope our community members come out to see how nice the building is and to see some of the new capabilities we have to help keep them safe. Still, we look forward to next year when we return our National Night Out to the grand event that all have come to know and expect” said Chief Anthony G. Manna.
