Fairfield (NJ) The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrests of Alexandria Manansala (31) of Paterson, NJ and Paul Valle, Jr. (29) of Bergenfield, NJ for shoplifting on April 16, 2023. On that date, at approximately 6:00pm, officers were dispatched to the Target store for a report of two people being detained for shoplifting. This was the second call to Target on this date for shoplifting.

Upon arrival, sergeant Chris Hlubik and officers Ryan Cleary and Vincent Purcell located Manansala and Valle, Jr. being detained by Target security. It is alleged that Target security observed Manansala and Valle, Jr. in the store for over an hour, at which time they loaded two shopping carts with miscellaneous items. They then attempted to leave the store without paying when they were stopped and detained. Valle, Jr. had a total of $953.33 in his cart while Manansala had a total of $897.14.

Both were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. Manansala was released on her own recognizance and due to appear at the Essex County Superior Court on June 14, 2023. Valle, Jr. was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility pending an intial appearance.

(It should be noted that the charges are merely allegations and that there is a presumption of innocence until they either plead guilty or are found guilty in a court of law)
