Rahway Resident Strikes Out, Arrested for Shoplifting Baseball Cards at Target

Fairfield (NJ) – The Fairfield Police Department announces the arrest of Charles Dunn (41), of Rahway, NJ for shoplifting on September 22, 2023.  On that date the Fairfield police were dispatched to Target on a report of a shoplifter in custody.  Upon their arrival, they located Dunn being detained by security.

 

It is alleged that Dunn proceeded to the self-checkout and did not scan all the items in his cart.  He then walked past all other points of sale when he was detained by security.  The total amount shoplifted was $419.88.

 

Dunn was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.  He was later released pending a December 28, 2023, appearance at the Essex County Superior Courthouse.

 

 

(Charges are merely allegations until the defendant is proven guilty or pleads guilty in a court of law).
