Fairfield (NJ) On May 31, 2019, Stevenson Elementary School students Alex and Ethan Hill received a ride to school from Chief Anthony Manna and other officers from the Fairfield Police Department. This special VIP ride was a prize that was part of an H.S.A. tricky tray fundraiser that was held earlier in the year.
At approximately 8:30 AM, four Fairfield police cars pulled up to the boys’ residence where they were allowed to take a close look at what equipment police officers carry in their cars and to ask any questions. They were then presented with official Fairfield Police Department baseball caps, the same worn by the officers. After a few photos by their parents and some well wishes from neighbors, it was off to school in a police motorcade with lights and sirens. When the motorcade arrived at the Stevenson School, the entire staff and student body were lined up outside of the school to cheer the boys on when they arrived.
