On May 7, 2024, Det. Rick Alves of the Fairfield Police Department and members of the New Jersey Stare Police Auto Theft Task Force received Meritorious Service Citations from the 200 Club of Passaic County at a ceremony held at the Brownstone.
The citation was presented for the unit's meritorious efforts from December 2022 through December 2023 as members of the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Task Force dismantled six motor vehicle "chop shops" and in recovering 68 stolen and retagged vehicles, narcotics and fraudulent documents in the City of Paterson.
Chief Manna commends both the work of Det. Alves work and that of the entire NJSP ATTF for their continuing efforts in reducing the state's auto theft epidemic. Great job.
